Blondies
Ingredients
- 110g butter
- 200g soft dark brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 110 plain flour
- 1/8 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- maple syrup for flavouring
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180C and line an “8x8” tin with greaseproof paper.
- Melt the butter, then whisk in the sugar. Don’t allow the mix to get too hot, or the egg will cook when added.
- Lightly beat the egg and whisk in to the sugar.
- Add a small amount of maple syrup.
- Mix in the flour, baking power and bicarbonate of soda.
- Pour the mix in to the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
